BxQuick Cool™

The BxQuick Cool is a hand-held device used to cool paraffin blocks during microtomy. It’s made from a soft rubber/metal composite with improved thermal transfer.

ADVANTAGES

The user can (re)cool the paraffin block in order to obtain serial sections without removing the block from the microtome.

The surface of the paraffin block cools quickly (10-15 seconds).

Lumea's BxQuick Cool changes color as it cools, so you know when it’s ready – it turns blue below 1°C (the recommended temperature for maximum efficiency).
